Introduction

Beirut is the capital of Lebanon which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Lebanon is located in the Middle East. It is surrounded by five countries Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Israel and Cyprus. It was called in bible the city of milk and honey. Some people called the pairs of the east.

Modern history
In 1943, Lebanon got independence from France. Also, in 975, the phalange attacked and killed a bus full of Palestinians in down town in Beirut. In 1982, the Israel army attacked the city with the aim of removing the Palestinians. Beirut has been destroyed a built seven times in it is history.

Lebanon now
Today young people are living in a changing city with new hopes and challenge. The most important indication is that now days, Muslims and Christians are living in harmony without problems. Increase the number of tourists comes from nearly all the world to see Lebanon culture and sights. Living there is very expensive. One the other land, Lebanon one of the highest number of cars in the world. That led to traffic and air pollution problems.
